Breaking up a near set of 92 T3 Turkey Reds in the following lots.
Lot 51. T3 Turkey Red #9 Ty Cobb SGC 20 FAIR 1.5. An extremely nice appearance on the front and rear with a rubber stamp with the name “CLAUDIUS H. KEMP” taking the card from what appears to be minimally a VG/EX 4 to a 1.5.

Lot 52. T3 Turkey Reds of #23 Nap Lajoie, #99 Walter Johnson and #17 Clark Griffith, all graded SGC 20 FAIR 1.5. All 3 are nice appearing cards but received low grades for various reasons. The Johnson has a tiny piece out of the top and shows some wear on the front. Some minor album remains on the back and a 1” black mark in the form of a “C”. The Griffith has tiny minor faults and could have been graded a little higher. Similarly the Lajoie has a paper disturbance on the front to the right of his face, otherwise a very good card.

Lot 58. 4 T3 Turkey Red SGC graded VG 3 and EX 5. The four cards are #10-Art Devlin with the rare back with no redemption offer or address (SGC 40 VG 3), #50-Chief Meyers SGC 40 VG 3), #90 Mickey Doolan, name spelled correctly variation (SGC 60 EX 5) and #119 George Stone (SGC 60 EX 5).

Lot 59. 4 T3 Turkey Reds all graded SGC 50 VG/EX4. Cards include #30 Mullin, Detroit, #84 Browne, Wash. & Chicago, #88 Coveleskie, Cincinnati and #118 Smith, Chicago and Boston, All have the checklist back except Coveleski which has the Checklist back.

Lot 61. 4 Turkey Red Hall of Famers including Christy Mathewson, Tris Speaker, Fred Clarke and Home Run Baker. The #27 Mathewson has a very nice appearance on the front with no creases, however, has paper loss along the sides and on the top of the back. The #36 Speaker has wear on the corners, especially the lower left where there is also a corner crease. The #78 Baker (actually Jack Barry), has a vertical crease about 1” in on the right side and is otherwise very good. The #8 Clarke has some light creasing on the front of the card and has a clean back.

Lot 62. Group of 9 T3 Turkey Red Hall of Famers in lesser condition. Eight have pinholes or tack holes. The exception is #80 Chief Bender which is heavily creased and has the upper left corner reattached. The #101 Willie Keeler has two pinholes and tape stains in the corners, the #5 Sam Crawford and the #16 Johnny Evers have a tack hole at the top. The #35 Joe Tinker has a pinhole, some paper loss in the Upper left corner and tape stains on the lower corners. The remainder #19 Addie Joss, #18 Hugh Jennings, #124 Rhody Wallace and #125 Ed Walsh all have 2-3 pinholes in the margins. The Walsh has a 2” corner crease.

Lot 63. Group of 9 T3 Turkey Reds, all average very good condition and represent 6 New York Giants and 3 Brooklyn Dodgers. The group includes #2-Bergen, #34 Rucker, #41 Wiltse, #45 Jordan & Herzog, #48 Murray, #77 Ames, #83 Bridwell, #113 Raymond and 122 Tenney. Five of the cards have light writing on the back, usually the number of the card on an ad back. Overall a very attractive looking group.

Lot 64. Group of 14 T3 Turkey Reds, average very good condition. Contents include 12-Donovan (gd-vg, light corner crease in LR corner), #22-Krause (light pencil name at top of back, otherwise excellent), #24-Mitchell (light pencil name at top of back, otherwise excellent), #31-Magee (vg+), #33-Pfeister (vg-ex), #37-Sallee (notched UL corner, o/w excellent), #91-Downey (vg, ad back), #94-Gibson (vg+, pencil # on rear, ad back), #96-Groom (tiny notch in LR, minor stains on rear, ad back), #98-Hofman (vg), #103-Konetchy (vg, ad back), #109-Moran (vg), #110-McBride (vg) and #117c Schulte (notch in UR corner ad back).
