Lot 284. The Four Horsemen of Notre Dame. Four 3 x5’s, each with one of the legendary Four Horsemen. Named by Grantland Rice during Notre Dame’s undefeated 1922 season. Halfback Jim Crowley signed a blank 3 x 5 “To Percy Good luck Jim Crowly”. Halfback Don C Miller signed a bio card and signed “Don C Miller” and supplied other information in his own hand. Fullback Elmer Layden signed a blank 3 x 5 “Good luck Elmer Layden”. Quarterback Harry Stuhldreher signed his name and filled in his school, position and tenure at Notre Dame in green ink.
