Lot 186.  R463 Rare 1937 4 in 1 Exhibit card from the anonymous Company featuring Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio. One of only a few 4 in 1 Exhibit cards that feature four Hall of Famers, the card has DiMaggio’s first appearance on a four-in-one (he would appear again in the 1938 final 4-in-1 set). The card also portrays Tony Lazzeri and Lefty Gomez. The blank rear of the card shows some minor paper remains on the back in the two upper corners. Otherwise the card is excellent.

Lot 188.  1947-1966 near Exhibit set near complete set missing the two 1954 team cards and a couple of minor variations. In all, there are 355 cards including some color variations not listed. Almost all cards, with exception of the rare 1966 issue have the alleged year of issue lightly written in pencil on the rear in the upper right corner. I would expect that these are easily erasable. Thus, while a large percentage of the cards appear near mint, in fact they are not (except for the 1966 issue). The grades that follows will indicate “mk” after the grade on the cards that have the year on the rear (the grade is without consideration of the mark). Highlights: Aaron (ex-mt, mk), Alvis (nr mt), Ashburn, Cubs (nr mt, mk), Banks, Port. (nr mt, mk), Larry Berra (ex-mt, mk), Campanella (nr mt, mk), Clemente (gd-vg, mk), Colavito-Port.
