Lot 318.  1938 US Open Program at Cherry Hills won by Ralph Guldahl. Large format spiral bound program. The 92 page program includes a photo, description and drawing of every hole. Cover has some minor faults including a creased corner, some soiling and two tiny tears but contents are ex-mt.

Lot 319.  1949 “Ryder Cup Star Studies”. Autographed by 15 Ryder Cuppers. A very unusual 16 page Marketing Booklet produced by Hoffmans of Halifax, Yorkshire after the 1949 Ryder Cup. Hoffman’s apparently specialized in prestigious historic car sales and some are illustrated in the booklet along with a list of the available cars. Golfers autographed the book near their pictures and include Jimmy Demaret, Dutch Harrison, Chick Harbert, Dick Burton, Ed Dudley and Max Faulkner on the cover. The centerfold shows 8 Ryder Cuppers, 4 each from the U.S. and G.B. teams. All signed by their photo and include Clayton Heafner, Fred Daly, Bob Hamilton, James Adams, Charles Ward, Johnny Palmer, “Skip” Alexander and Max Faulkner. Chick Harbert (again) and Bob Hamilton signed by their photos later in the book. The pamphlet has a fold in the center, otherwise excellent. A rare book enhanced by 16 autographs.

Lot 320.  1950 US Open Program at Merion won by Ben Hogan, his 2nd Open win. In 1950 and 1953 the USGA experimented with a digest sized (7 1/2 x 5 1/2) program. The 1950 version was 140 pages. Light crease in lower right corner, otherwise in exceptional condition. The Open was won by Hogan, his second Open win, and one of the most historic. Hogan finished in a 3 way tie after 288 holes with Lloyd Mangrum and George Fazio. A playoff the following day gave Hogan a 4 stroke victory over Mangrum.

Lot 321.  1951 US Open Program at Oakland Hills won by Ben Hogan, his 3rd Open win and 2nd consecutive. Massive 202 page full size program commemorating Hogan’s 2nd straight win by 2 strokes over Clayton Heafner. Some light wrinkling on the covers, contents near mint.

Lot 322.  A group of 5 U.S. Open programs from 1954-1957 and 1959. Five opens on golf’s most historic courses in the Fabulous fifties. Included are Opens at Oak Hill, Baltusrol, Olympic, Inverness and Winged Foot. Winners included (in order), Ed Furgol, Jack Fleck in a playoff over Ben Hogan, Cary Middlecoff, Dick Mayer and Billy Casper. Condition is overall very good, there are some light creasing on some and the 1954 has some chipping on the spine. Priced at over $1,300 in the Gilchrist-Emerson Guide.

Lot 323.  40 U.S. Open Programs from 1961, 1963, 1965 and 1967-68 and 1970-2004. Forty programs, all in ex-mt to near mint condition. Includes Jack Nicklaus’ wins in 1967, 1972 and 1980, Johnny Miller’s memorable win at Oakmont in 1973, Payne Stewart’s wins in 1991 and 1999 and of course Tiger Woods first two Open victories in 2000 and 2002. All are in excellent to near mint condition. Priced at over $2,500 in the Gilchrist-Emerson Guide.

Lot 324.  Collection of 7 Ryder Cup Programs, 4 Ryder Cup Pairing sheets and 4 Presidents Cup Programs with a pairing sheet. 1955 Ryder Cup Program at Thunderbird. The Program is excellent, however it is 3 hole punched. 1957 Ryder Cup Program at Limrick. The Program is excellent, but is 3 hole punched. 1961 Ryder Cup Program at Royal Lytham and St. Annes, The program is very good however the right side of the cover is worn away. 1963 Ryder Cup Program at East Lake in near mint condition; 1971 Ryder Cup Program at St. Louis in very good condition. 1971 Ryder Cup Program at St. Louis in excellent condition however has an address label to Warren Orlick on the front cover. 1973 Ryder Cup Program at Muirfield with insert. The Program is excellent, however it is 3 hole punched. Pairing sheets from 1957, 1961, 1969, 1971. Also 4 Presidents Cup programs from 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2005. There is a pairing sheet from 2000. All the Presidents Cup items are near mint.

Lot 325.  Complete run of the 29 hardbound Masters Annuals which started in 1978 and include the Difficult “First Forty One Years” book. The run includes all volumes from 1978 through 2005 and the very tough introductory book covering the preceding tournaments. These books used to be sold by the Masters shortly after each tournament and they were available until sold out which would take a few months. I believe the asking price in the 1990’s was $40 a book. The earlier books, which were printed in smaller supplies are much more difficult to get. All books are in near mint condition.

Lot 326.  Complete run of 17 Masters Journals from 1990-2006 and 4 Players Guides. All the Masters books since the inception of the yearbook in 1990 through 2007. The 4 Players Guides, which are rarely seen, are from 1995-1997 and 2001. All guides are in near mint condition.
