Lot 61. 1950 Drakes set of 36 with three cards SGC graded. As nice a set of these as I’ve seen. The black bordered set is nearly impossible to find in high grade and this set might be as close as you can come with 75% excellent and better. In addition many Drakes cards are found with some food stains, which also hold grades down. Highlights: 5-Snider (vg), 6-Campanella (vg-ex), 11-Hodges (vg), 13-Doerr (ex+), 14-Spahn (50 VG/EX 4), 19-Reese (SGC 60 EX 5), 24-Berra (ex-mt), 25-Rizzuto (SGC 80 EX/NM 6), 36-Slaughter (vg-ex). Balance: 13 cards ex-mt or better, 9 cards excellent, 5 cards very good.
