Lot 419.  Very early run of 6 Converse Yearbooks from 1924 to 1929. Fabulous run of annual books by Converse that portrays a team photo and data on every college team of a particular year. These early years (the first issue was 1922) are extremely difficult to find and retail for hundreds of dollars each. The 1926 book has writing on the cover and a partial tear on the lower part of the spine; The 1927 has partial tears on the lower spine and the 1929 has some wear on the cover and spine. The books measure 6" x 9" and are in very good-excellent condition. They will be shipped to the winner from Long Island.

Lot 420.  An early run of 6 Converse Yearbooks from 1933, 1935 to 1939. These thirties Converse yearbooks are nearly as difficult as the earlier yearbooks and larger at 9 1/4" 12" and very good+ - excellent condition. Only visible problem is some spine wear and some ink lines on the lower right corner. They will be shipped to the winner from Long Island.

Highlights: 1-Caverly (ex), 9-Phillip (ex), 10-Davies (ex-mt), 32-Holzman (ex-mt, printing streak), 69-Mikan (vg-ex); Low # Balance: 21 cards excellent, 9 cards very good. High # Balance: 3 cards excellent, 3 cards very good, 1 card good.

Lot 425.  1984-1985 Star Basketball near set of 288 missing only the Olympic subset. Beautiful mint set bought by our consignor shortly after it came out. Everything is near mint and better in their original clear sealed team bags as issued including the high value #101-Michael Jordan. The Olympic subset were numbers 195-200 and included a 3rd Jordan card aside from the rare #101 and #280 .

Lot 430.  Large Boxing Lot of 140 cards. Highlights are N28 Allen & Ginter Joe Lannon and Jimmy Carney and an N284 Kimbell Patsy Cardiff. There are 61 Tobacco cards including 29 T218’s, 11 T219’s, 18 T220’s and 3 1928 Churchman. Also 31 1920’s exhibits including John L. Sullivan, 2 Dempseys and 4 Tunneys, 30 1948 Leafs, 1 Topps Magic Photo of Schmeling, 4 Ringsides, 2 Scoops, 1 Adventure card of Willie Pep, and 7 strip cards. Condition is mixed and a detailed list is available on request.

Lot 430a.  Group of 10 T223 Dixie Queens all SGC graded. Dixie Queens are among the most difficult of 20th century boxing cards. The designs are familiar as they’re the same ones found in T218. There are two SGC 80 EX/NM 6 (Heenan & Sayers and Jack Burke); 1 SCG 50 VG/EX 4 (Jack O’Brien); 6 SGC 40 VG 3 (Joe Wagner, Tommy Ryan, Tommy Burns, Mike Donovan, Young Erne and Frankie Madden) and 1 SGC GOOD 2 (Terry McGovern). Most of the cards look like they easily could be graded excellent or better.

Lot 431.  Unusual group of 17 Leaf Boxing. 16 are different. Almost all are near mint or mint but very poorly centered. Group includes Amber, Angott (2), Armstrong, Attell, Baer, Christoforidis, Fields, Forbes, Hostak, Jack, Loughran, McLarnin, Montgomery Sharkey, Wright and Zale.

Lot 431a.  1951 Ringside #43-Sugar Ray Robinson SGC NM-MT+ 9. Perfect card. Only 2 have been graded as high on PSA’s SMR out of 203 submitted and none higher.
