Lot 12. Bound editions of 1883 and 1884 New York Clippers with 39 woodcuts. The 1883 volume starts with the March 24th issue and continues to March 15th of 1884. 32 of the issues contains woodcuts of ballplayers and is highlighted by Full page cover woodcuts of the Champion Athletics and Champion Boston club on consecutive issues in October. There are no Hall of Famers but there are several well known ballplayers. The 1884 volume starts with the July 26th issue and continues to the March 15, 1884 issue. Seven issues have woodcuts of ballplayers. There’s a total of 39 woodcuts in the two volumes. Overall in excellent condition.
