Lot 469. Very rare 1951 Masters Trophy Room Badge. Prestigious Trophy Room Badges allowed the Holder not only access to the Golf Course for all rounds, but the Trophy Room at Augusta National during the tournament. Their rarity can be seen by the price on the badge, which at $20 were double the price for a highly desired Series Ticket. The 1951 Masters noted the breakthrough of Ben Hogan who had finished in the top ten in 8 of the 9 previous Masters but had never won. Tickets and Badges from either of the two Hogan wins (1953 was the other) add considerably to the value of a Badge. In excellent to mint condition.
