The Red Stocking Polka.
Lot 47. The Red Stocking Polka. Six page piece of 10½" x 14” sheet music dedicated on the cover to the “Boston, B.B. Club” in 1875. This was the last year of the National Association, just before the start of the National League. And the Red Stockings, under Manager Harry Wright compiled an amazing 71 and 8 record. 1875, was the last year Harry Wright played in a “major league” game. The cover pages have a partial separation but otherwise all the pages are in excellent condition.
