The following 14 lots comprise a near complete 1915 176 series Cracker Jack set missing only the Cobb and Jackson.



Lot 70.  E145 Cracker Jack #57 Walter Johnson. Centered slightly to the right and some minor staining to the left on this otherwise excellent card.
Winning Bid $1,832.


Lot 71.  E145 Cracker Jack #68 Honus Wagner. Solid excellent card with the barest trace at the top margin.
Winning Bid $2,420.


Lot 72.  E145 Cracker Jack #88-Christy Mathewson. The more common but preferred portrait pose of Matty has nice corners and is in excellent condition and nicely centered. The usual stain is apparent in lower right and on the back.
Winning Bid $1,465.


Lot 73.  E145 Cracker Jack cards of Grover Alexander, Tris Speaker and Eddie Plank. The #65 Speaker and #37 Alexander are both well centered and in ex+ condition. There is the barest trace of any staining. The #6-Plank shows a little more staining and a little rounding of the corners (vg+).

Lot 74.  7 E145 Cracker Jacks Hall of Famers, all in excellent condition or better. The group includes 14-Sam Crawford which has the barest trace of stains (vg-ex), 17-Roger Bresnahan (ex+), 35-Harry Hooper (ex-mt), 36-Eddie Walsh (ex-mt), 52-Zach Wheat (ex), 61-Ray Schalk (ex-mt), and 136-Rabbit Maranville (ex).

Lot 75.  7 E145 Cracker Jacks Hall of Famers in mixed conditions. Group includes 3-Joe Tinker with some wear and soiling (gd-vg), 7-Eddie Collins has staining, creases and a tiny cut on the left side (fair-good), 19-Chief Bender (ex appearance but ¼” tear at bottom), 32-Mordecai Brown (poor), 43-Rube Marquard (gd-vd, some soiling on the surface of the card), 70-Fred Clarke (vg-ex appearance but some album remains at bottom of rear) and 77-Hugh Jennings (excellent appearance but 2 pieces of tape on rear and some album remains on rear).

Lot 76.  5 E145 Cracker Jacks Hall of Famers. All managers and historical figures in baseball. The group includes 12-Connie Mack (very good), 23-Charles Comiskey (gd-vg), 69-John McGraw (minor stains and excellent), 133-Branch Rickey (excellent) and 167-Clark Griffith (vg-ex).

Lot 77.  6 E145 Cracker Jacks Hall of Famers. Group includes 2-Home Run Baker (vg-ex), 18-Johnny Evers (vg-ex), 66-Nap Lajoie (good), 73-Max Carey (vg), 75-Miller Huggins (vg) and 161-Ed Rousch (ex).

Lot 78.  E145 Cracker Jacks group of 9 prominent players. Includes 22-Joe Wood (ex), 39-Chick Gandil (ex+), 48-Steve O’Neill (ex-mt), 78-Fred Merkle (vg-ex), 79-Ping Bodie (ex), 94-Eddie Cicotte (vg, some staining), 99-Hal Chase (vg-ex), 134-Armando Marsans (ex+) and 159-Heinie Groh (ex-mt).

Lot 79.  E145 Cracker Jack group of 21 cards. The group averages excellent condition and includes 15, 27, 29, 31, 38, 44, 72, 86, 93, 95, 102, 105, 104, 109, 121, 125, 127, 129, 130, 131 and 138.

Lot 80.  E145 Cracker Jack group of 14 Federal League Players. Includes 11, 25, 42, 46, 59, 76, 81, 98, 100, 117, 119, 120, 124 and 126. Overall the group is in excellent condition with some ex-mt, some with normal Cracker Jack stains and Delehanty has a corner crease.

Lot 81.  E145 Cracker Jack last series high grade group of 14. All cards are in the last series of 1915 (145-176) and are the only Cracker Jacks representing those players. All cards are at least excellent condition. The cards in the lot are 146, 149, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, 157, 158, 165, 166, 168, 170 and 173.

Lot 83.  E145 Cracker Jack Balance of 24 cards. The group consists of the lesser condition cards from the set and averages good condition. Included are #’s 1, 8, 9, 20, 21, 45, 53, 54, 62, 74, 84, 85, 87, 91, 96, 106, 110, 116, 122, 140, 141, 174, 175 and 176.
