Lot 365.  1913 U.S. Amateur Contestants Badge. For the very famous Open won by Jerome Travers at Garden City on Long Island, his 4th U.S. Amateur victory. Believed to be the earliest Open Contestant’s badge known in fact the only one known before 1928. The badge is in excellent condition on the front, however, the clasp is missing on the rear.

Lot 366.  1927 PGA ticket from the tournament at Cedar Crest in Dallas. According to Emerson-Gilchrist guide the 1927 ticket to the PGA Championship is the earliest PGA ticket known. The first round ticket is in excellent condition. The tournament was won by Walter Hagen.

Lot 367.  1938 US Open Season badge for the Open at Cherry Hills won by Ralph Guldahl. Rare and unusual silver badge.

Lot 368.  1939 U.S. Open Press Badge for the Open at the Philadelphia CC. The blue circular Press Badge commemorates the Open won by Byron Nelson who won a three way playoff over Craig Wood and Denny Shute. The badge is in near mint condition with its original paper backing.

Lot 369.  1941 U.S. Open Grounds Badge for the first 3 rounds at Colonial. The Open, the last until 1946, was won by Craig Wood. The red oval badge is 2 3/4” wide.

Lot 370.  1950//1998 Collection of 36 Phoenix Open Badges. Collection stars with a 3 5/8” 1950 square ticket for the then called Ben Hogan Open, a very rare 1953 and then badges from 1954, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1967-1984, 1986-87, 89-1998. All are in excellent to near mint condition.

Lot 371.  1952 3” oval Guest Badge to the US Open at Northwood Country Club in Dallas. A Mint badge from the Open where Julius Boros defeated Porky Oliver by 4 strokes. Ben Hogan was third. A very rare badge.

Lot 372.  1953 US Open Press Badge and ribbon for the Open held at the Oakmont Country Club in Pittsburgh. Badges with ribbons are rarely seen and are rare. This one is especially desirable as Ben Hogan won his fourth and final Open defeating Billy Casper by two strokes. The badge measures 2 1/4” and has a 5” ribbon.

Lot 373.  1958 PGA Championship Badge Llanerch Country Club near Colorado Springs. Dow Finsterwald won the Championship barely defeating Byron Nelson, 1 up. The 1 3/4” Press badge with ribbon is in excellent condition.

Lot 374.  39 Final Round tickets for the 1996 U.S. Amateur. The tournament, won by Tiger Woods, was his third consecutive victory in the Amateur. The tournament was held at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course in Oregon. All the tickets are in mint condition with original string.

Lot 375.  Masters lot with 2 vintage Spectator Guides (signed) and 4 recent Masters Badges. Spectator Guides have become a popular collectible having been issued every year since 1948 with the issues from 1948 to 1960 being quite rare. 1957 and 1960 are offered here, both signed by the winner that year, Arnold Palmer in 1960 and Doug Ford in 1957. Also 4 recent Masters Badges, 2004 signed by the winner Phil Mikkelson and unsigned badges from 2005-2007. All items are in near mint condition.
