Lot 365. 1913 U.S. Amateur Contestants Badge. For the very famous Open won by Jerome Travers at Garden City on Long Island, his 4th U.S. Amateur victory. Believed to be the earliest Open Contestant’s badge known in fact the only one known before 1928. The badge is in excellent condition on the front, however, the clasp is missing on the rear.
