Lot 357. 1926 Imperial Tobacco Company’s “How It Happened…...” set. A 126 card set with 7 cards, each representing a different stroke outcome on 18 fictional holes. for a total of 126 cards. The cards show comic renditions. There are also 2 different back possibilities for each of the 126 cards. Offered in this lot is a complete set of 126 plus 76 of the back variations for a total of 202 cards. The main set of 126 have almost all cards in minimally excellent condition. The 76 variations range from fair (just a few) to excellent. It is also worth mentioning that there is a premium offer on the back for those sending 18 cards (one for each hole) and a score (from the number of strokes on the cards) totaling 72. The premium is a set of 6 Premium cards (9” x 11 3/4”) entitled “The Perils of Golf. A warehouse find has made this premium set, once considered a rarity, common. Putting together the 126 card set here is not an easy chore.
