Lot 282.  16 P2 Sweet Caporal Pins including 7 HOF’ers. Includes Barry (stained, no paper), M Brown (nr mt), Camnitz LL (nr mt), Downey (nr mt), Duffy (ex+), Griffith (ex+-mt), Mathewson (vg, no paper), McGraw, gd, stains), McIntire (ex), Oldring (gd), Quinn (ex, part paper), Sheckard (exz+-mt), Speaker (ex+-mt), Thomas (good), Wheat (ex+-mt) and Wiltse (ex-mt).

Lot 283.  3 Evening American 1930 Chicago Cub Pins from the set of 10. Very rare Group includes Rogers Hornsby, Gabby Hartnett and Les Bell and are all in ex+-mt condition.

Lot 284.  9 of the ten issued Evening American 1930 Chicago White pins. Included are Carl Reynolds, Smead Jolley, Bill Hunnefield, Joe Bush, Willie Kamm, Art Shires, Jim Moore, Red Faber and Bill Cissel. Missing only Moe Berg, the near set is in ex-mt conditon and is rarely offered.

Lot 285.  Very rare Hull’s Only Bobby Brown pin and 19 other pins. Brown was an obscure pitcher for the Braves in the early 30’s who had one good year. The Hull’s pin is the first I’ve ever seen. Other interesting pins in the group include an oval pin and ribbon (attached) of The Newark Bears stadium in 1926. Also a Jake Ganzel pin, an “Our Manager” pin featuring George “Heinie” Smith (T206 card with Buffalo), a 1935 Browns Boys Club, a (Buffalo) Bison Pennant Booster. A Hawthorn Melody Pin of Nellie Fox (nr mt) and 12 other pins, all illustrated on our web page.

Lot 286.  A very nice high grade group of Orbit Gum pins including a near set. 50 of the 54 numbered pins are in the lot. Missing are 12, 24, 25 and 39. The O’Doul pin is the rarer Giants variation. Also 7 unnumbered Orbit including Mack, Lyons and Simmons. 57 pins in all. Condition is ex+-mt throughout with the exception of #103-Allen which has some marks.

Lot 288.  Extensive 1965//2011 World Series Press Pin Collection from a Major League baseball Executive. Includes 52 Press Pins, 25 from the American League and 27 from the National. All but the 1963 Yankees are from the 1980 Phils to the 2011 Texas Rangers. There are also 2 charms. The group includes the only appearances of Colorado, San Diego, Texas and Tampa. There are 5 Yankees, 3 Boston including their miracle 2004 win, 5 Atlanta, 5 Phillies, 5 Cardinals, etc. Retail value, according to Recollectics retail list, is over $7,400. Lot 289.  Collection of 36 All Star Games Press pins. A run from the last 33 years (1979-2011) plus 1966, 1972 and 1976. The group includes some very innovative and attractive pins from the last ten years. Almost all near mint and better. Retail $2,650.

Lot 290.  Hall of Fame Press Pins and Retroactive HOF Pins. There are 8 Regularly issued HOF pins for the inductions of 1989, 1991-92, 1996, 1998 (charm), 2000, 2002 and 2003. There are ten years of retroactive pins issued for prior inductions before pins were issued. These years are 1992-3, 1995-6, 2000-2005. At least two years of inductions were honored in each of these issues. All of the pins are in the original presentation cases and are in mint condition. Retail is $1,400.
