V94 Canadian Butterfingers very rare near set of 55, missing only Allyn Stout.

Lot 109. V94 Canadian Butterfingers very rare near set of 55, missing only Allyn Stout. Very similar to the American R310 Butterfingers, the thin paper 6 1/2” x 8 ½ cards are smaller and have several player changes. There are in fact, 23 players in the Canadian Butterfingers that are not in the American set. One of the rarest of all the 1930’s sets, it is only recently that it has been determined what a complete set is. Condition is unusually nice for such fragile items. Highlights: Dean (ex-mt), Dickey (vg-ex, corner crease), Foxx (ex-mt), Grove (ex), Gehringer (ex-mt), Gomez (ex-mt); Balance: Almost all excellent or better, most ex-mt. There are a couple of commons with creased corners and a couple with pinholes.
Minimum Bid $1,250.
