Lot 63. 1909-10 E97 C.A. Briggs Co. Cy Young Black & White Proof SGC 30 Good 2. The E97 Briggs Candy set is the most difficult of the similar color candy sets issued in the early 1900’s. Unlike the others, E97’s can be found with black-and-white, thin paper examples, which are exceedingly rare and probably preceded the color E97 issue. Some believe they are proofs. Offered here is as good an example as one can hope for. Graded 30 GOOD 2 by SGC, the card has a nicer appearance.
