A wonderful letter (TLS) from Dick Bartell which included an original 7” x 5 ½” photo of Babe Ruth.

Lot 15. A wonderful letter (TLS) from Dick Bartell which included an original 7” x 5 ½” photo of Babe Ruth.

Winning Bid $267 The photo, as stated in Bartell’s letter, was received by him in 1928. Bartell wrote. “I was highly honored as I was a rookie and he called me over to talk to me and complimented me on attitude and stated I would be big in the Major Leagues”. The photo shows Ruth in a Yankee uniform and is noted “Babe” “Ruth” 1921 at the bottom (not his autograph) and is in excellent condition. Winning Bid $267.
