Lot 232. A 1952 Magazine “Baseball Picture Book” showing photos of nearly every player on all 16 Major League clubs.

Winning Bid $3,808 Joe Garagiola would leave the book with the clubhouse manager who would ask the visiting players to sign the book. Significant wear on the binding weakened the book and all 96 pages have been put in plastic sheets and then in a binder for protection. There’s a total of 166 signatures, 141 National Leaguers. There are 30 Hall Of Famers including Jackie Robinson, Campanella, Hodges and a rare signature of Henry Thompson the ill fated N.Y. Giant. A detailed list of all signatures is available on request. The individual pages are overall in excellent condition. Winning Bid $3,808.
