Lot 339.  1948 Bowman Basketball set of 72 with a very good 69-Mikan. The high numbers show a mixture of the rare variations and the normal cards. In addition, 32 of the cards have writing in the form of the players name in the margin. Highlights: 1-Calverly (gd), 32-Holzman (ex), 34-Fulks (ex), 38-Jeanette (ex, gray background), 54-Palmer (miscut variation with writing, fair), 55-Zaslofsky (variation with writing (gd), 58-Risen (gray back variation with writing), 66-Pollard (excellent with writing), 72-Braun (gray background with writing, poor). Balance Low #'s: 9 cards ex-mt, 10 cards excellent, 2 cards very good, 1 card good, 11 cards have writing, 8 of which are excellent or better otherwise. Balance High #'s: 8 cards ex-mt, 3 cards excellent, 1 cards very good, cards good, 22 cards have writing, 18 of which were excellent or ex-mt otherwise.

Lot 340.  1961-2 Fleers Basketball complete set of 66. All but 8 of the cards all appear to be mint, however there are centering problems that are always present in this set. There are 20 cards that show no border or a miniscule border on the left side. Highlights: 3-Baylor (nr mt), 8-Chamberlain (nr mt, badly o/c), 10-Cousy (ex, badly o/c ), 36-Robertson (nr mt, o/c), 38-Russell (nr mt but tiny 1/2" wrinkle, nicely centered), 43-West (nr mt, well centered), 47-Chamberlain IA (nr mt, o/c), 62-Russell IA (nr mt), 66-West IA (ex, o/c).

Lot 341.  1969-70 and 1970-71 Topps Basketball sets of 99 cards and 175 cards. The 1970-1 set is a beauty which, except for a couple of cards, is uncirculated. Highlights1969-70: 1-Chamberlain (vg-ex), 20-Havlicek (vg), 25-Alcindor (ex), 43-Bradley (ex), 50-Robertson (ex), 75-Hayes (nr mt), 90-West (ex), 98-Frazier (ex-mt), 99-Checklist (ex); Highlights 1970-71: 7-Bradley (nr mt+), 10-Havlicek (nr mt+), 13-Riley (nr mt), 50-Chamberlain (nr mt, dirt smudge on rear), 75-Alcindor (nr mt), 123-Maravich (nr mt+ but has tiny indentation on the basketball), 160-West (nr mt); Balance 1969-70: 76 cards ex-mt or near mint, rest vg-ex; Balance 1970-71: all near mint or better except cards #1 and #175 have tiny rubber band impressions.

Lot 342.  Lot of 3 Harlem Globetrotter issues. 1972-3 Phoenix Candy full boxes near set of 7, missing only J.C. Gipson (nr mt-mt). 1971-2 Coca Puffs set of 28 (nr mt) and 1971-2 Fleer set of 84 plus team emblem sticker (nr mt).
