The following 21 lots consist of a complete set of E90-1 American Caramel of 120 cards. Including the very rare Mitchell, Cincinnati, the rare and desirable Joe Jackson, as well as Ty Cobb, two Honus Wagners, many rarities and the stars of the era.
Lot 87. E90-1 American Caramel Mike Mitchell, Cincinnati SGC 60 EX 5. This is a striking ex+-mt card with a tiny spot on the 2nd "L" in baseball on the back of the card (magnified scan on request). The card is very well centered, vibrant color, sharp corners and aside from the above mentioned spot, a flawless back. Otherwise, a striking appearance and one of the nicest examples of this great rarity that you will ever see. Only one is higher in the SMR.

Lot 88. E90-1 American Caramel Joe Jackson, Phila. Am. SGC 10 POOR 1. The E90-1 Jackson card has become enormously popular and copies in far lesser condition than the one offered here have been bringing five figures. A very nice card that would normally grade very good or good-very good which has been downgraded because of a period purple overprint on the rear (see scan), a corner crease in the lower right and a tiny pinhole at the bottom just below and left of the "P". The back, aside from the overprint, has normal soiling and no other problems. You won't find a better "Poor" card than this.

Lot 90. E90-1 American Caramel, Honus Wagner, Pittsburgh, throwing SGC 10 POOR 1. One of two Wagner's in the E90-1 set. The card has an acceptable appearance on the front, despite a vertical crease and some wear at the right side. The rear has serious paper loss going down the left side.

Lot 91. E90-1 American Caramel, Honus Wagner, Pittsburgh, batting, SGC 30 GOOD 2. Extremely nice excellent + appearance on the front. A tiny stain in the upper border on the front and a larger transparent stain on the rear. Also a minor abrasion on the back, at the bottom, resulting in minimal paper loss.

Lot 94. E90-1 American Caramel Fred Clarke, Pitts. Nat'l, 40 SGC VG3. Clarke was originally issued with a Philadelphia NL affiliation in the E90-1 set, a team for which he never played. The card was crudely corrected to Pittsburgh, and has become one of the set's biggest rarities. The card is centered to the top, which kept the grade down.

Lot 99. E90-1 American Caramel Cy Young, Boston AL, Portrait, SGC 40 VG 3. The easier of the two Young cards and the more attractive. Wonderful portrait with a red background. Well centered and clean, front and back. There is a nearly imperceptible 1/4" wrinkle on the right side.

Lot 100. E90-1 American Caramel Ed Walsh, Chicago AL. SGC 20 FAIR 1.5 Still looking for why this very good-excellent card was downgraded so badly. There are no creases, no spots of paper loss, excellent centering. The only reason appears to be the slight angular cut at top and bottom. A ridiculous grade. $500.
