Lot 135.  Illustrated Football Annual complete set of 24 (1930-53). Very difficult to assemble high grade complete set of college football’s first annual magazine (1930-1953). Covers before 1942 are art covers, after that, actual players including Herman Wedemeyer, Frank Sinkwich, Bobby Layne, Chuck Bednarik, Jim Owens, etc. A Rare 1930 and very scarce 1931, both Vg-Ex with spine tape and scarce 1953 last edition is Ex with spine damage, small chip on bottom of front cover. Remainder are 10 Ex-Mt, 9 Ex+ and 2 Excellent. An article from the 2003 College Football Historical Society recalling and reviewing the magazine is included. An itemized list with condition for each issue is available on request.

Lot 136.  1957 Topps football set of 154. Beautiful high grade set with 128 cards ex-mt or better (85%). Highlights: 1-LeBaron (ex+-mt), 88-Gifford (ex+-mt), 94-Berry (ex), 119-Starr (nr mt), 138-Unitas (ex), 151-Hornung (ex), 154-Morrison (nr mt); Balance of Low numbers: 77 cards are nr mt or ex-mt, 7 cards are vg-ex, 2 cards good;  Balance of High numbers: 47 cards are nr mt or ex-mt,   11 cards are vg-ex, 3 cards are good;

Lot 137.  1960 and 1962 Fleer Football complete sets of 132 and 88 cards plus 5 variation cards. 1960 Fleers set of 132 plus 5 print errors. Near mint to mint set. Highlights: 20-Baugh (nr mt-mt), 58-Blanda (nr mt-mt), 116-Stram (nr mt-mt), 118-Mix (nr mt-mt), 124-Kemp (nr mt); Balance: Almost all near mint to mint with a few centering problems. The five print error cards are 72, 78, 82, 90 and 102 show no color except for yellow, black and white. 1962 Fleers near mint and better set of 88. A few have centering problems and 8 cards have product stains on the rear. Highlights: 16-Shaw (nr mt, o/c), 46-Blanda (nr mt), 59-Maynard (nr mt front, o/c, product stains on rear), 79-Kemp (nr mt); Balance: near mint and better with note to product stains and centering mentioned above.

Lot 138.  1961 Fleer Football extremely high grade complete set of 220 plus two partial insert sets. Highlights: 11-Brown (nr mt-mt), 30-Unitas (nr mt), 41-Meredith (nr mt, o/c, printing line), 155-Kemp (nr mt-mt), 197-Otto (nr mt-mt), 215-Maynard (nr mt-mt); Balance: Almost everything is near mint and better with exception of an occasional centering problem. Also included is a partial set of 1961 Topps Flocked Stickers (27 of 40), in ex+-mt condition and a partial set of a 1961 Fleer Magic Message Blue inserts (24 of 40), ex-mt.

Lot 139.  1962 Topps Football set of 176. Beautiful 65% ex-mt set of this very difficult, condition conscious set. Highlights: 1-Unitas (near ex), 17-Ditka (ex+-mt), 28-Brown (ex), 36-Ernie Davis (ex), 39-Meredith (nr mt), 76-Checklist (ex), 90-Tarkenton (ex+-mt), 176-Checklist (ex+). Balance: 106 cards are ex-mt or better, 54 cards are vg-ex, 8 gd-vg;

Lot 140.  1963 Fleer Spectacular high grade complete set of 88. This is a magnificent set, as nice as you can imagine. Beautifully centered with sharp corners all around. Highlights: 6-Charles Long (nr mt), 24-Kemp (nr mt-mt), 47-Dawson (nr mt-mt), 64-Bob Dougherty (nr mt+), 72-Lance Alworth (nr mt+); Balance: near mint and better.

Lot 141.  1966 Philadelphia complete set of 198. A very high grade ex+-mt set. Highlights: 31-Butkus (nr mt), 38-Sayers (ex+-mt, badly o/c), 41-Brown (ex). Balance: about half the cards are near mint, the balance average excellent + with some minor corner wear and/or centering problems.
