Lot 331. R14 American Historical Characters near set of 24 cards, missing 6. An extremely difficult set. Our consignor told us he had been trying to complete the set for years with little success. The set consists of 10 different historical characters with 3 cards for each, numbered 1, 2 or 3. Highlights: Jesse James #1 (fair-good), George Washington (vg-ex). Balance: 4 excellent, 3 vg-ex, 7 very good, 3 good, 1 fair, 4 appear near mint but were probably trimmed. The missing are Captain Kidd #2, Christopher Columbus #’s 1 and 2, John Paul Jones #’s 1 and 3 and Stephen Decateur #3. Minimum Bid $400.
