Lot 412.  1909 T99 Pan Handle Scrap Sights and Scenes of the World Set of 50. Incredible condition for this set with gold leaf borders. Usually found with flaking on the borders and creases. This set shows not a single case of this and all cards are minimally ex+-mt and most are near mint or better. The subject is historic scenes from around the world such as The Rock of Gibralter, the Roman Coliseum, Westminster Abbey, The Alps, The Acropolis, The Great Sphinx, The Lake at Killarney and of course The Brooklyn Bridge among many others.

Lot 413.  Mixed group of 304 mostly tobacco non-sports cards including a partial set of 34 (of 50) T73 Indian Life, 49 T42 birds, 20 T77 Lighthouses, 145 T87 Wings, 9 J9-5 Useful Birds and 47 Bowman Wild Man. Details as follows: T73 Indian Life (21 vg-ex, 13 fair-good), T42 Birds (33 very good, 16 fair-good), T77 Lighthouse (19 ex-mt or better, 1 vg), T87 Wings (33 from Series 1, 37 from Series A, 38 from Series B, 37 from Series C, almost all ex-mt and better), J9-5 Birds (vg-ex) and 47 Bowman Wild Man (28 vg, balance fair-good). 304 cards in all.

Lot 414.  1929 John Dockman newly discovered Star Candy Group of 7 complete packets of candy or gum with a 1929 Dockman Star Candy Card. Includes 17- Col. Charles A. Lindbergh, 18-Bellanco Monoplane “Rosemarie”, 19-The “North Star”, 22-Com. Richard E. Byrd, 23-Army Flyers Hop Off, 27-Clarence Chamberlain, 28-Lieut. Williams and New Biplane. The cards all appear that they would grade excellent or better, but its impossible to be sure without opening the packs and removing the candy.

Lot 415.  1930 Fleer “Whiz-Bang” Gum Group of 9 cards. From the recent find of a box of these previously unknown cards. The box consisted of 83 cards from what was an apparent set of 16. Included in the set were 3 different baseball cards and 13 non sports cards. Offered here are nine of the non sports cards as follows: Gary Cooper, Buck Jones, Ken Maynard, Chief Thunderbird, Wallace McDonald,. Jack Oakie, Ted Wells, Warner Baxter and George O’Brien. The group is near mint. Each card has two tiny factory punched slits which it is suspected would propel the cards. Included is a pack of “Whiz Bang” Game and 9 strings that apparently would go through the two tiny slits.

Lot 417.  Better group of early non-sports from 3 better sets. Includes cards from F272-12 Wheaties Skippy, 16 R151 National Chicle Tom Mix booklets and 16 R790 Leaf Pirates. The tough Tom Mix Booklets include #1, 3-7, 9-11, 15-16, 19, 22-23 and two tougher second series 26 and 31. The Skippy cards include a complete set of 12 and 6 duplicates (average very good); The Leaf Pirates include 8 cards each from the numbered and unnumbered varieties. The numbered cards are 9, 22, 24 (2), 38, 45, 58 and 125. The unnumbered are “22” (3), “30”, “38”, “41”, “50” and “73”. All the Leaf Pirates are ex-mt or better.

Lot 418.  F-unc. 1937 Donut Company of America partial set of 61 from 72 card set with Album. Cards issued as package design cards on the sides of donut boxes. Set was titled “Thrilling Moments in the Lives of Famous Americans”. The offered cards were glued in the album and were removed. There is some glue residue and the cards are neatly cut. The album is in much nicer condition than is usually found with note to the glue remains. The only sports star in the set is woman’s golf champion, Glenna Collett Vare.

Lot 419.  1941 R59 Gum Inc. American Beauties set of 24 plus sheet of 9 and rare wrapper band. Very popular and colorful set. 18 of the cards should grade near mint or better, 6 are cut so close that one border doesn’t exist. The promotional sheet is mint with the left side cut very close. Also includes a rarely seen paper band which held 12 cards, and indicating the cards sold for 5 cents.

Lot 420.  1941 R157 Gum Inc. Uncle Sam set of 96 + 1 R158. A below average set with 45 cards with a pinhole and are somewhat faded. The balance are very good-excellent except for 11 which are fair-poor. The R158 is #118 and is fair.

Lot 421.  R65 1936 Goudey History of Aviation set of 10. Magnificent oversized set of 5 1/2” square thin cards depicting famous aviators or planes. Includes Rickenbacher, Hughes, Lindbergh, “Spirit of St. Louis”, etc. All are in near mint condition.

Lot 422.  Uncut Sheet of R701-6 1949 Bowman Gum AMERICA SALUTES THE FBI set of 36. The 18 5/8” x 10” sheet has been mounted on a backing with photo corners and professionally matted and framed. Full Size is 23” x 14”. There is a brown stain at the bottom left of the sheet which affects five of the 24 cards. Otherwise, the sheet is flawless. The condition of the back of the sheet is unknown.

Lot 423.  Uncut Sheet of R701-9 1948 Bowman Movie Stars set of 36. The 18 ½” x 9 7/8” sheet has been mounted between two pieces of glass with photo corners and then matted and framed. Full size is 23” x 14 1/4”. The sheet is flawless, front and back, except for minor rounding in the corners.

Lot 424.  R701-14 Television & Radio Stars of NBC set of 36. 1952 set features the stars of that era. Highlights: 19-Groucho Marx (nr mt), 14-Bob Hope (excellent); Balance: Mostly excellent, a few are very good.

Lot 426.  Two Hopalong Cassidy near sets. 1950 Topps R712-2 Hopalong Cassidy set of 230 plus 1 foil. High grade set over half ex-mt or better and and 75% excellent or better. 120 cards near mint or ex-mt, 57 cards excellent, 43 cards very good, 10 cards fair-good; The foil “Happy Holiday” is in poor condition. 1950 F278-12 Post Cereal Hopalong Cassidy set of 36. 22 cards near mint or ex-mt, 6 cards excellent, 3 cards very good, 5 cards good;
