Lot 286. 1923-4 V145-1 Wm. Paterson near set of 36, missing 4 cards (5, 7, 10 and the nearly impossible 25). Two key cards are SGC graded. The key Joliet card was rejected for grading for being rebacked. The card is definitely thicker than it should be and we would guess it was glued to something at one time however, it has an excellent appearance. A very nice set with almost all cards excellent and some better. Only one card with a crease (corner) noted. Highlights: 3-Clancy (ex front, some pen writing on back), 14-Joliet (ex, rebacked), 15-Morenz (SGC 40 VG 3), 19-Vezina (SGC 80 EX/NM 6). Balance: 19 cards excellent or better, 5 cards very good, 4 cards good. Minimum Bid $2,000.
