Lot 319. Bobby Jones Autographed post Card accompanying “Golf is My Game” with three COA’s. Jones responds to an admirer on a postcard who inquired about sending a copy of his book to autograph. His typed reply is “Dear Mrs. Heath, Of course, you may send the book, but I should prefer to sign it personally to the individual who buys it. Perhaps you might rather wait until after the auction and send it then. Sincerely, Robert T. Jones, Jr. P.S. Please send the book to my office, 4th Floor, Haas-Howell Building, Atlanta 3, Georgia.” The post card has Mrs. Heath’s name and address pre-printed at the top of the postcard and the postcard was obviously attached to the inside cover of the book at one time. It is postmarked, Atlanta, April 12, 1961. The book is not signed. There are COA’s from February 2001 from a Ron Oser auction from Jim Spence of PSA and 2 from April 2003 by Mike Guiterrez and GAI and also by PSA and Jim Spence again, where the signature was graded a “9”.
