Lot 237. 12 Chicago Cub/White Sox Publications from the years 1934-1942. Highlighted by the large (8” x 11”) yearbook style books issued in 1934 with the art deco covers. The White Sox book is much rarer. There are 5 6” x 9” books extracted from Callahan’s Whos Who books. All are rare. They are “The Cubs of 1935”, “1936 Who’s Who in Major League Baseball”, “White Sox and Cubs of 1936”, “The Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox of 1938” and “Players Records Chicago National League Baseball Club 1939”. In addition, a 1934 4” x 6” “Play Ball – The Cubs”, a pamphlet meant to be mailed to fans, a 1937 4 1/2” x 6” autograph book with full pages of Cubs meant to be signed, a 1940 5” x 8” Chicago Cubs 1940 Player Roster and Record Book and 1941 and 1942 Chicago Cubs Players History and Record Books.
