Lot 308. E79 Philadelphia Caramels “27 Scrappers” set of 21 cards including 7 very rare red print backs. Extremely tough set to put together featuring the 19 checklisted subjects on the rear of each card and two others showing the right and wrong way to make a clenched fist. The set is in very nice good condition for a caramel set with virtually no creases and clean backs. Highlights: Attell (vg-ex), James Jefferies (good, light hor. crease, red print back), Jack Johnson (vg+, red print back), Sharkey (ex), Johnson and Burns (vg, red print back), Jack Johnson and Cole (vg+). The other red print backs are Jack O’Brien & fighting partners (vg), Rawlins... (vg-ex), Kaufman & Sullivan (vg) and the 2 Arm and Clenched Fist cards (vg-ex). Minimum Bid $600.
