Lot 218. RPPC of Babe Ruth in Boston uniform sitting in the dugout. A fascinating postcard which we’ve never seen before. Ruth is in the dugout, with a jacket over his left arm, possibly indicating he was pitching that day. He is accompanied by Harry Hooper (on his right) and Olaf Henrickson at the far right and Everett Scott on Ruth’s left. The card would have to be dated between 1914 and 1917 (Henrickson was gone in 1918). The photo quality is excellent despite a slight blemish on Ruth’s face. Unfortunately the card has been cut at an angle on the right side, losing about 1/4” at its width. Possibly one of kind. Minimum Bid $250.
