Lot 219. Phenomenally crisp 1927 Real photo postcard of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig with a group of Boy Scouts at St. Louis. Card shows Ruth and Gehrig standing amidst a few dozen boy scouts at Sportsman Park in St. Louis. The stands were full and apparently it was before a game. The back implies both Gehrig and Ruth hit Home Runs in the game against the Browns. The unused AZO back (squares in the corner) has writing with the notation “NOTICE. The Value of This card cannot be estimated”. I concur. The front of the card is near mint, the back has writing. Minimum Bid $1,000.
