Lot 189.  W600 Sporting Life Cabinet George Davis, Chicago White Sox. Davis, a recent inductee to the Hall of Fame, had a 20 year career at short and third that spanned the 19th and 20th centuries, mostly for the Giants and White Sox. This W600, issued in his last years (1904-1909) with the White Sox is in excellent condition with very minor soiling on the front. The rear has an oval Sporting Life ad on how to order the Davis and others for 10 cents. Winning Bid $2,595.
