Lot 138.  1950 All-Star Die Cut Pin Up Book. Popular novelty book featured ten 7" Circular black and white player photos with green and white borders. Each photo contained a hole to be punched out so they could be hung on a wall. The photos contained ten of the best players of that time and included Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Jackie Robinson, Stan Musial, Phil Rizzuto, Ralph Kiner, George Kell, Gil Hodges, Mel Parnell and Jim Hegan. The book is ex-mt and the photos are near mint.

Lot 139.  1953 Johnston Cookies near mint set of 25. The first of 3 Johnston Cookie issues featuring Milwaukee Braves. Highlights: 10-Spahn (nr mt), 21-Mathews (nr mt); Balance: near mint or better.

Lot 140.  1952 Redman set of 52 with tabs and a high grade Musial. As nice a set as one could hope to find in this condition conscious issue. Highlights AL: 1-Stengel (ex+), 3-Berra (ex-mt), 8-Feller (ex-mt), 9-Fox (vg-ex), 13-Kell nr mt), 23-Williams (ex-mt, small stub in corner in lower right); Highlights NL: 9-Irvin (nr mt), 12-Kiner (nr mt), 15-Mays (ex-mt), 16-Musial (SGC 60 EX 5), 17-Reese (ex+), 21-Snider (ex); Balance: Five cards are vg-ex, the rest are ex-mt or nr mt.

Highlights AL: 3-Ford (nr mt), 4-Fox (nr mt), 16-Berra SGC 80 EX/NM 6), Highlights NL:1-Ashburn (nr mt, slight bend), 3-Hodges (nr mt), 7-Mays (SGC 40 EX 3), 17-Reese (SGC 60 EX 5), 19-Snider (SGC 80 EX/NM 6); Balance: We see five cards with slight imperfections that are very good, and 5 or 6 others with a ding in the lower right corner making them excellent or ex-mt, the balance are near mint.

Lot 144.  1958 Bell Brand set of 10 with Koufax and Reese highly graded by SGC. Nicest Bell Brand set we've seen. The Koufax is graded SGC 80 EX/NM 6 and Reese is SGC 86 NM+ 7.5. At least four of the remaining ten cards should bring grades of at least Near Mint. Details: Campanella (ex), Cimoli (ex), Drysdale (nr mt), Gilliam (ex+-mt), Hodges (nr mt), Podres (nr mt), Snider (ex-mt), Zimmer (nr mt).

Lot 146.  1962 Bell Brand set of 20. Beautiful High Grade set. Highlights: 4-Snider (vg-ex, 1" pen scrawl on rear), 32-Koufax (nr mt, light potato chip stain), 53-Drysdale (ex-mt); Balance: 6 cards near mint, 6 cards ex-mt, 3 cards excellent, 2 cards vg.

Lot 147.  F102-1 Lake to Lake set of 28. 1960 set of Milwaukee Braves issued attached to milk cartons and as a result most are found with staple holes. The Bill Bruton card is very scarce and the Ray Boone card is also scarce. Amazingly, 15 of the 28 cards, have no staple holes. The Bruton and Boone cards, are both ex+-mt to near mint without staples as are the other cards with staples. The other key cards are Henry Aaron (vg, with some creasing near the staple holes), Red Schoendienst (ex+-mt), Warren Spahn (some creasing and a Lake to Lake rubber stamp on the rear).
Winning Bid $1,064.


Lot 148.  1961 Kahns set of 43 with a high grade SGC Clemente. This was the first year Kahns made sets available to the public. With the exception of the graded Roberto Clemente and the Frank Robinson card, all the cards are near mint cards that never touched a hot dog package. Highlights: Clemente (SGC 70 EX+ 5.5)), Mazeroski (nr mt), Pinson (nr mt), Frank Robinson (vg, a couple of light wrinkles near top). Balance: Near mint. A tiny impression in the upper right corner kept the grade down on the Clemente.

Rose is among the missing. 1964 Detroit Milk Bottle Caps set of 14; 1967 Ashland Oil near set of 10 missing Jim Maloney and Bill Mazeroski. 1967 Houston Astros Team issue complete set of 12 including Mathews and Morgan. 1967 Sports Hobbyist Famous Card series near set of 29, missing #1. 1971 Sports Hobbyist Famous Card series, near set of 18 missing 3, 1968 Detroit Free Press complete set of 56 Bubblegumless cards, 1968 Sports Memorabilia All Time Greats set of 15, 1969 MLBP Photo Stamps Complete set of 108 American league, 1969 Sports Cards for Collectors oldtimers complete set of 82, 1971 House of Jazz complete set of 35, 1976 Icee Reds Lids set of 12. Virtually everything is near mint.

Lot 150.  1964-5 Wheaties baseball and football stamp sets and accompanying albums. The 1964 baseball set consists of 50 stamps (ex-mt) and an album (excellent). The 1965 football set consists of 74 stamps (ex-mt) and an album (ex+-mt). The stamps are loose but were hinged in the albums at one time and the backs show a small, light hinge mark where they were.

Lot 151.  Perez-Steele Hall of Fame Postcards. Complete set in 15 original boxes. Perez-Steele Greatest Moments. Complete set in 9 original boxes. Both sets are near mint and each has a unique serial number on each card and box of the set.
