The last series in the Diamond Stars, consisting of cards numbered 97-108 has always been the major obstacle in completing this popular set.  Lot 133. R336 1941 Playball paper version Set of 24. A paper version of the 1941 Playball set was issued in 2 sheets of 12 cards. A cut apart version is offered here. Most are cut neatly, a few are not. All have a stain or remnant from a stamp hinge where the cards were placed in an album. The standard catalog lists the set at $10,000 near mint in singles. Excellent + overall.
