Lot 39.  A. C. “Dazzy” Vance on a 2 cent gpc with a 1956 postmark. Mailed in 1956 with the salutation “With kind regards in green ink. Vance died 5 years later in 1961. Excellent condition with PSA LOA.

Lot 40.  Arky Vaughan 5 1/2 x 9 full page black & white photo from 1939 Who’s Who in Baseball. Signed in red ink and very scarce signature on a photo. Vaughn died very young in 1952 at the age of 40. Excellent condition with JSA LOA.

Lot 41.  Honus Wagner cancelled check dated December 9, 1918 signed John H. Wagner. The perforated cancellation was miraculously placed so it barely touches on Wagner’s signature. Wagner died in 1955. Excellent condition with JSA LOA.

Lot 42.  Bobby Wallace, 1 page als dated August 20th 1950 on tan stationary with original envelope signed. Nice hand written letter on a 6” x9” piece of bank stationary from Wallace to a fan recounting his career. Signed R. J. “Bob” Wallace. Wallace died in 1960. Excellent condition with JSA LOA.

Lot 43.  Ed A. Walsh, 2 cent government postcard with a 1953 postmark. Walsh added Hall of Fame beneath his name. He died in 1959. Excellent condition with JSA LOA.

Lot 44.  Hack Wilson signed with Lefty O’Doul & Johnny Frederick on a Original Baseball Magazine Cover. The cover was subsequently mounted on a piece of light cardboard. Wilson died young in 1948 at the age of 48. Excellent condition with JSA LOA.

Lot 45.  Cy Young 2 cent government postcard with a 1955 postmark. Young added the date August 19, 1955 above his signature. Excellent condition with JSA LOA.

Lot 46.  Near complete set of Hall of Fame Plaques with 147 of the 150 possible plaques signed. The group is complete through the HOF issues of 2010. The group includes the very rare Jimmy Foxx and Dave Bancroft. The Foxx has 2 COA’s from PSA and the Bancroft, who died within a year of his induction in 1971, has been encapsulated by Jim Spence when he was at SGC. The three missing signatures are Goose Goslin, Cal Hubbard and Jackie Robinson. 84 of the 147 signees are deceased. A list is available on request. All the plaques but Foxx are top signed and not personalized. Condition is almost all excellent with exceptions to Foxx (bottom signed, light signature), Hartnett (2 pinholes at upper corners, one at bottom), Schalk (personalized), Traynor (couple of light creases and personalized) and Wheat (1” tape attains on side borders). A fabulous collection that would be difficult to surpass.
