Lot 485.  T77 Hassan Lighthouse near set of 43, missing 7. Mixed condition partial set with 21 cards very good, and 22 cards gd-vg.

Lot 486.  T99 Pan Handle Scrap Sights and Scenes of the World Set of 50. Incredible condition for this set with gold leaf borders. Almost always found with flaking on the borders and creases. This set shows not a single case of this and all cards are almost all near mint or better. The subject is historic scenes from around the world such as The Rock of Gibralter, the Roman Coliseum, Westminster Abbey, The Alps, The Acropolis, The Great Sphinx, The Lake at Killarney and of course the Brooklyn Bridge among many others. A similar set, but not as nice went for $2,148 + in our last auction.

Lot 489.  Circa World War One Strip card set of 120. Rare set showing Political, military and other leaders on the first 80 numbered cards. The last 40 cards show military weaponry and action. The set is in extremely nice condition, in five 12 pocket plastic sheets with almost all cards showing borders all around and unmarked backs.

Lot 490.  1922 D40 Great American Circus cards partial set of 17. Extremely rare set of large die cut (5 " x 3 ") bread inserts from a set of 24. The Non-Sports Bible only lists six cards as being known. The backs are in various styles, 14 of the backs are printed in blue and indicate Luxury Bread from Nash Baking Co. The other three are in red and list Gens Jersey Cream Bread. Both manufacturers offered here are unknown. All cards are intact and average very good.

Lot 491.  W-unc. Interstate News History near set of 94 (of 120). An uncataloged non-sport set issued in 1926 by the Interstate News Co. The 120 card set was issued in four boxes, each with 30 "History Cards" in each. The offered group includes 94 numbered cards, and measuring 3 1/2" 4 1/2". All are in excellent condition except for a few. They are offered with the greater part of a box they came in. The missing numbers are 2-3, 5-10, 12, 15-30 and 50.

Lot 492.  1925-1972 Exhibit Collection of 324 The sets include 1940 Mutoscope Licenses (32 cards), 1941 Your Ideal Love Mate (32), 1941 Blind Dates (32), 1942 Gloom Chasers (16), 1943 Army Frolics (16), 1944 Army Merry Making (16), 1944-5 Army Camp Cartoons (32), 1956 Magic Series (16), 1960 Whines & Jeers (64) and 1972 Car-Toons (16). The remaining 52 cards are all pre-1942. Almost all the cards are ex+-mt to near mint. There is a mixture of blank and postcard backs. A summary of the sets and a listing of the contents of the incomplete sets is available on request.

Lot 493.  1927 W451 Charles Lindbergh near set of 15. Rare offering of 15 of the 16 cards in this set showing the American Hero who flew from New York to Paris. Photos show Lindbergh, "The Spirit of St. Louis" and one with his mother. The missing card is "Plucky Lindbergh ready to hop off". Condition breakdown: 6 cards excellent, 8 cards very good (some with paste remains on blank back), 1 card good;

Lot 494.  1929 John Dockman Star Candy Group of 7 complete packets of candy or gum with a 1929 Dockman Star Candy Card. Includes 2-Liet. Champion, 17- Col. Charles A. Lindbergh, 18-Bellanco Monoplane "Rosemarie", 19-The "North Star", 22-Com. Richard E. Byrd, 23-Army Flyers Hop Off, 27-Clarence Chamberlain. The cards all appear that they would grade excellent or better, but its impossible to be sure without opening the packs and removing the candy.

Lot 495.  1930 Fleer "Whiz-Bang" Gum Group of 9 cards. From the recent find of a box of these previously unknown cards. The box consisted of 83 cards from what was an apparent set of 16. Included in the set were 3 different baseball cards and 13 non sports cards. Offered here are nine of the non sports cards as follows: Gary Cooper, Buck Jones, Ken Maynard, Chief Thunderbird, Wallace McDonald,. Jack Oakie, Ted Wells, Warner Baxter and George O’Brien. The group is near mint. Each card has two tiny factory punched slits which it is suspected would propel the cards. Included is a pack of "Whiz Bang" Game and 9 strings that apparently would go through the two tiny slits. A similar lot was sold in our April 2010 Auction for $733.

Lot 496.  Collection of 22 British Sets from the 1928-1939 era. All relate to film and are from famous makers such as Gallagher, Carreras, Abdullah, Ardath, Cavendars and BAT. All sets appear to be mint and total 1,045 cards. A detailed list of all 23 sets is available on request.

R25 Hal Hunter Among Savages set, 6 booklets of 8, R25 Crafty Keen The Detective, 7 of 8 booklets, R25 Yip Roper The Young Cowboy, 7 booklets, R25 Corporal Blake of the Northwest Mounted, 7 of 8 booklets, R27 sub-set of 8 Harold Teen cards, #’d 117-124 and R28 sub-set of 8 Broncho Billy cards, #’d 417-424. All cards average excellent.
