Lot 53. 1928 W502 set of 60. This is the earlier of two different W502 sets. A second very similar set was issued in 1931. A beautiful high grade set. Highlights: 6-Ruth (vg-ex, card appears near mint, but there are a couple of nearly invisible wrinkles in the lower right), 13-Hornsby (ex-mt), 26-Gehrig (vg-ex), 27-Cobb (ex), 28-Speaker (ex-mt), 44-Alexander (ex-mt), Balance: 35 cards ex-mt or near mint, 10 cards excellent, 10 cards very good.
