Lot 14.  Jim Thorpe signed an 8 ½” x 11” NBC standard contract. The contract was for Thorpe to appear on the Bill Stern show in 1952 and signed at the bottom “James Thorpe” and co-signed by Robert S Simpson of N.B.C. The contract pays Thorpe $300 to appear as a guest on the Stern show. An enlargement of the signature is available on request. Winning Bid $1,000

Lot 15.  A wonderful letter (TLS) from Dick Bartell which included an original 7” x 5 ½” photo of Babe Ruth. The photo, as stated in Bartell’s letter, was received by him in 1928. Bartell wrote. “I was highly honored as I was a rookie and he called me over to talk to me and complimented me on attitude and stated I would be big in the Major Leagues”. The photo shows Ruth in a Yankee uniform and is noted “Babe” “Ruth” 1921 at the bottom (not his autograph) and is in excellent condition. Winning Bid $267
