Lot 228.  “Rawlings Gold Glove Award dinner & Presentation, November 5, 1992” signed baseball. Beautiful condition baseball autographed by 20 Former Gold Glove winners and dinner host Joe Garagiola. The ball is signed by Curt Flood and 2 HOF’ers (Ernie Banks, Brooks Robinson) and Minnie Minoso, Del Crandall, Tommy John, Bob Boone, Vic Power, Jim Sundberg, Paul Blair, Bud Harrelson, Andy Van Slyke, Jose Lind, Robin Ventura, Ivan Rodriguez, Don Mattingly, Tom Pagnozzi, Terry Pendleton, Bill Freehan, Garry Maddox and Garagiola. The ball and the signatures are in near mint condition.

Lot 229.  1959 Topps #10 Mickey Mantle Very high graded (GAI NM+ 7.5). Among the first cards graded by GAI, this Mantle is marked “1st Graded”.

Lot 230.  One 1952 Bowman and 7 1953 Bowman cards of Joe Garagiola. All in the earliest grading of GAI. The 1952 is a NM 7 (1st Graded) and the 1953’s are all “7”s except for one 7.5 (1st Graded). Top quality lot of 8 cards.

Lot 231.  A wonderful personal photo album compiled by a St. Louis Cardinal wife during Spring Training in 1947. The book includes twenty 4 ½” x 3 ¼” snapshots with every one autographed by the subject. The photos include Al Brazle, Ken Burkhart, Murray Dickson, Ervin Dusak, Joe Garagiola, Jim Hearn, “Nippy” Jones, Whitey Kurowski, Marty Marion and Red Schoendienst, Terry Moore, George Munger, Stan Musial (2, one with Howie Pollet), Howie Pollet, Dick Sisler, Del Wilbur and Ted Wilks. Also coaches Buzzy Wares and Tony Kaufman and 2 unknowns John Mikan and Jeff Ross. Excellent condition.

Lot 232.  A 1952 Magazine “Baseball Picture Book” showing photos of nearly every player on all 16 Major League clubs. Joe Garagiola would leave the book with the clubhouse manager who would ask the visiting players to sign the book. Significant wear on the binding weakened the book and all 96 pages have been put in plastic sheets and then in a binder for protection. There’s a total of 166 signatures, 141 National Leaguers. There are 30 Hall Of Famers including Jackie Robinson, Campanella, Hodges and a rare signature of Henry Thompson the ill fated N.Y. Giant. A detailed list of all signatures is available on request. The individual pages are overall in excellent condition.
