Lot 54. W504 1925 Universal Toy New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodger sets. Universal Toy issued three sheets of cards featuring the 3 New York baseball teams and Washington. They consisted of a large team picture and 16 small numbered pictures in four rows featuring players of that team. It is not unusual to find the players cut from the sheets and offered as cards. In this lot are complete 16 card sets of the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants. The Giant set includes McGraw, Jennings, Frisch, Kelly, Wilson and Youngs and the Dodgers include Grimes, Vance and Wheat. Almost all of the cards are neatly cut although differing in size.
